Dr. Ehab Hanna
Dr. Ehab Hanna
Dr. Hanna, originally from Egypt, made Canada his home in 1996. His career journey began at Assuit University, laying the foundation for his expertise in small animal medicine. Over the past 25 years, he’s honed his skills, transitioning from tending to large animals to becoming a seasoned professional in small animal care.
In 2010, Dr. Hanna achieved a significant milestone by founding The Collegeway Animal Hospital, swiftly establishing it as a trusted clinic for compassionate veterinary care in the community. Undeterred by success, he expanded his commitment in 2020 with the establishment of Arc Animal Hospital, further solidifying his reputation as a dedicated caregiver in the veterinary profession.
What sets Dr. Hanna apart isn’t just his medical expertise; his remarkable sense of humour keeps the atmosphere light even on the most challenging days. This, coupled with his unwavering passion for clients and their pets, creates a positive and engaging environment. His ability to connect with animal companions adds a distinctive touch to his practice, fostering bonds that resonate with both clients and their pets.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Hanna is committed to personal well-being and is often found at the gym. Occasionally seeking refuge in his office, he balances his responsibilities while ensuring heartwarming connections with each patient in the exam room. Dr. Hanna embodies a professional yet personable approach, making a lasting impact in the veterinary field.
Cassidy, Lead RVT
Cassidy graduated from the Vet Tech program at Seneca College in 2018 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician shortly after. She has a genuine passion for helping animals feel safe, supported, and cared for during every visit.
At home, Cassidy enjoys spending time with her beloved orange tabby, Rupert, who often supervises her other favourite hobby—working on puzzles.
In the clinic, Cassidy is especially drawn to the fast-paced, detail-oriented world of surgery. No matter where she is, her goal is always the same: to make each patient’s experience as comfortable and positive as possible.
Vanessa, RVT
Vanessa graduated from Seneca College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2007 and Sheridan College’s Animal Care program in 2003. Her passion for animals began at a very young age, and her calm, friendly nature and inquisitive spirit are evident the moment you meet her. She has been working alongside Dr. Hanna at the Collegeway Animal Hospital since 2014.
A lifelong learner, Vanessa is committed to staying current in the ever-evolving field of veterinary medicine. She enjoys sharing up-to-date knowledge with clients and colleagues alike, helping to advocate for the highest standards of animal health care.
In 2023, Vanessa served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT), an experience that deepened her appreciation and love for the profession.
Outside of work, Vanessa loves listening to music of all genres and spending quality time with her husband and their pug, Cheech—who you may have the pleasure of meeting, as he often comes to work with her. (Fun fact: Cheech was born right here at The Collegeway Animal Hospital!)
Nathalie, Veterinary Assistant
Hi, I’m Nathalie! I’m a veterinary assistant who loves caring for cats and dogs of all personalities. I also have a cat of my own, his name is Walter. I love teaching him new tricks whenever I come home! Whether I’m helping with treatments or offering a comforting cuddle, my goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m excited to support your furry family members on their health journey!

With a background in both veterinary and dental administration, she brings strong communication skills, empathy, and a deep commitment to supporting pets and their families. In her free time, Shannon enjoys listening to music, relaxing with some retail therapy, and spending time with her cherished cat, Ozwaldo.
